Medium-sized, powerful, and muscular molosser-type bulldog breed developed in southern Brazil for guarding, property protection, and cattle work
History
Developed in the highlands of Southern Brazil (Serra Gaúcha region) from dogs brought by European immigrants, primarily the old Bullenbeisser, crossed with local working dogs. The breed was adapted for working with cattle (catching and holding), guarding property, and family protection in the local rustic environment. Recognized by the Confederação Brasileira de Cinofilia (CBKC).
