History
Ancient sighthound breed developed in the steppe regions of Kazakhstan and southern Russia for hunting hare, fox, and larger game. Bred purely for function—speed, stamina, and hunting ability—across vast steppes. Nearly extinct after Russian Revolution but preserved by enthusiasts.
