Medium-sized, athletic primitive breed with sand-colored coat and erect ears, resembling a dingo or small wolf with ancient pariah dog characteristics
History
Primitive landrace breed descended from ancient dogs that accompanied early human migrations across the Bering land bridge. Discovered living as free-roaming population in cypress swamps of South Carolina and Georgia by Dr. I. Lehr Brisbin Jr. Recognized by UKC and seeking AKC recognition.
